This little fella has handed in his last exam, ripped off his tie, and is officially done with being told what to do — for at least a week. Mr. Schoolies is sunburnt, overpacked, underprepared, and running on a dangerous cocktail of freedom and Red Bull. He's got a wristband he can't get off, a singlet he'll never wear again, and memories he's already starting to forget. He's every kid who ever counted down the days, piled into a mate's dodgy Commodore, and headed for the coast with zero plans and maximum confidence. It's the rite of passage that no parent is ready for and no teenager ever forgets. Well, most of it anyway.
